Throughput of port Singapore up 4.8% to 386.17 mln t in Jan-Aug’14

In January-August 2014, the port of Singapore handled 386.17 mln t of cargo (+4.8%, year-on-year). According to the Port Administration, oil transshipment increased by 4.7% to 122.85 mln t. The Port’s container throughput climbed by 3.4% to 22.32 mln TEUs.
Singapore is a Southeast Asian island city-state. In 2013, container throughput of port Singapore hit 32.58 TEUs, while the port’s total throughput reached 560.88 mln t.
