In January-September 2014, the loading at the network of Russian Railways OJSC totaled 913.2 mln t (-1.2%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.
In the reported period, Russian Railways loaded 229.6 mln t of coal (+0.8%, year-on-year); 8.7 mln t of coke (+1.9%); 190.6 mln t of crude and oil products (+2.3%); 80.8 mln t of iron and manganese ore (-2.3%); 53.3 mln t of ferrous metal (+1.2%); 12.2 mln t of ferrous metal scrap (-0.7%); 37.2 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+7.1%); 25.8 mln t of cement (-6%); 29.3 mln t of timber (+8.5%); 11.8 mln t of grain (+38.4%); 109.7 mln t of construction materials (-17.4%); 14.7 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-6.3%); 19 mln t of chemicals and soda (-3.1%); 26.6 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (+4.9%).
From the beginning of 2014, the company’s cargo turnover hit 1707.7 bln tarrif t-km (+5.7%). Cargo turnover including empty wagon run hit 2197.9 bln t-km (+6.2%).
In September 2014, the company loaded 104.9 mln t (+0.2%, year-on-year).
The company’s cargo turnover climbed by 7.4% to 193 bln tarrif t-km. Cargo turnover including empty wagon run hit climbed by 6.9% to 246.7 bln t-km.
