Hapag-Lloyd, Hamburg Süd, NYK, Aliança and CSAV have reached agreement to operate jointly in the trade between US East Coast and Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, the company said in its press release.
The two services separately operated by the lines will be replaced by a single string with seven modern 5500 TEU vessels featuring increased reefer capacity.
The rotation of the service will be as follows:
New York • Philadelphia • Norfolk • Charleston • Jacksonville • Port Everglades • Suape • Santos • Buenos Aires • Rio Grande • Itapoa • Santos • Rio de Janeiro • Salvador • Pecem • New York
The new service is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2014, subject to regulatory approval.
