On September 29, 2014, educational tall ship Mir of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping arrived at Svetly shipyard (Kaliningrad) for routine maintenance executed once in 5 years under the classification certificate, press center of Rosmorport FSUE says.
The works are to be completed in December 2014.
The ship was frequently repaired by this shipyard, last times in 2009 and in 2012.
Rosmorport operates the ship on the basis of economic control rights. On September 17, 2014, the ship was included into the asset list of North West Basin Branch.
The tall ship Mir was built in 1987 in Gdansk (Poland). It is a sailing school for the cadets of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping as well as other educational institutions of Russia and foreign countries. He ship is a winner of several international regattas.
