On the occasion of the Global Awards of the English newspaper Lloyd’s List, which gathers all the shipping industry major players, the CMA CGM Group received the Corporate Social Responsibility award, which rewards its social policy through its Corporate Foundation, and also its environmental and management policy, the company said in its press release.

The CMA CGM Corporate Foundation supports many humanitarian projects in France and Lebanon. The CMA CGM Corporate Foundation also deploys the “Containers of Hope” operation, in cooperation with Doctors Without Borders and Action Against Hunger, which provides humanitarian supplies to the people living in the poorest regions of the globe.
Since 2005, CMA CGM has reduced by 40% its global CO2 emissions, and is now approaching its ambitious goal of reducing by 50% CO2 emissions by 2015 all over its ship fleet. This objective is the most ambitious CO2 reduction program amongst all industry players.
In 2013, CMA CGM proposed trainings specifically designed for the women of the company.
