Visitors registering to attend Intermodal Europe 2014 also have the opportunity to register to take part in an exclusive tour of the Port of Rotterdam, which will take place during the event, the event organizer Informa Exhibitions said in a press release.
“Working closely with the Port of Rotterdam we are pleased to invite Intermodal Europe visitors to join a tour of the port on Wednesday 12 November, which is day two of the three day event” says Sophie Ahmed, Event Director. “This is a great opportunity to explore Europe’s largest container port, to learn more about operational procedures and of future developments on the horizon.”
The Port of Rotterdam is a gateway to the European market of more than 350 million consumers, and the annual throughput is approximately 450 million tons.
Roy van den Berg, Logistics Business Manager for the Port of Rotterdam, will also present a conference session at Intermodal Europe 2014, titled ‘Data sharing and IT as key elements for the future growth of ports and intermodal transport’.
Rotterdam is a key destination city with many cultural and architectural highlights, and has been rated one of the best cities in the world to visit in 2014. It is an ideal location for Intermodal Europe to take place.
Intermodal Europe takes place from 11-13 November. For the first time ever, the event will be co-located with Transport & Logistics Rotterdam, increasing the opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to do business and meet new contacts.
Intermodal Europe is the world-leading exhibition and conference for companies associated with the container and intermodal industries and covers all areas of container transport and logistics across road, rail and sea. The event provides an invaluable industry forum, bringing together high-quality speakers and key exhibitors. Organised by Informa Exhibitions, Intermodal Europe is now in its 38th year. Established in 1976 as the Container Technology Conference (CTC) Intermodal Europe has developed and matured alongside the industry it serves.
