Throughput of ADP Group’s stevedoring companies up 7% to 3.2 mln t in Jan-Sep’14

In January-September 2014, stevedoring companies of Azov-Don Shipping Company (ADP Group) handled 3.2 mln t of cargo (+7%, year-on-year), the Group’s press center says.

Multipurpose port of Rostov handled 1 mln t of cargo, the port of Ust-Donetsk – 385,000 t, off-harbour transshipment at port Kavkaz totaled 782,000 t. Other stevedoring companies of ADP handled over 1 mln t of cargo.

The share of construction materials in total throughput is 32%, sulphur – 29%, coal – 18%, other cargoes – 16%.

Cargo transportation by sea-going and sea-and-river-going vessels of ADP increased by 3%, year-on-year, to 3.9 mln t including 1.8 mln t of cargo carried by river and 2.1 mln t of cargo carried by sea.

The share of construction materials in total transportation is 30%, grain – 21%, sulphur – 25%, coal – 13%, metal – 8%, other – 6%.

The routes of the Azov-Don Shipping Company run via Russian ports of Rostov-on-Don, Ust-Donetsk, Astrakhan and Kavkaz as well as via the ports of Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Israel.

Azov-Don Shipping Company is a transportation group, established in 2003. The Group is comprised of more than 20 companies, including shipping, stevedoring companies (Rostov Universal Port, the port of Ust-Donetsk, Universal Stevedoring Company), logistics and development companies. ADP operates a fleet of 73 ‘river-sea’ vessels (up to 7,000 DWT), 100 river boats of up to 3,000 DWT. The Company transports grain, coal, mineral fertilizers, construction materials, containers and general cargo. The Group’s stevedoring companies operate terminals of Rostov-on-Don, Rostov Region and Krasnodar Territory.
