GD Bath Iron Works gets $78,6 million more for DDG 51, FFG 7 services
General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $78,663,955 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-12-C-4311) to exercise option year three for DDG 51 and FFG 7 class integrated planning yard services, the US Department of Defense said in contract announcements.
The contractor will provide expert design, planning, and material support services for both maintenance and modernization. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to completed by December 2016. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $945 will be obligated at time of contract award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
