Baltic Fleet's frigate “Yaroslav Mudry” and tanker "Kola" call at the port of Jakarta
A Neustrashimy class frigate “Yaroslav Mudry” (Yaroslav the Wise) and tanker "Kola", tasked to ensure the safety of shipping in the Indian Ocean have made call at Jakarta, the largest port of Indonesia, the press service of the Western Military District reported.
The Baltic Fleet vessels and crews will stay in the Indonesia port until November 9.
There is a number of official visits planned during the visit, including a visit to the Jakarta command naval base and meetings with Indonesian seamen.
The Yaroslav Mudry departed Baltiysk, the main naval base of the Baltic Fleet on August 9, 2014 and has covered more than 11,000 nm, has visited the Spanish port of Ceuta on the Mediterranean coast of Africa, the port of Valletta in Malta and the port of Karachi, Pakistan.
