Coal exports from Russia grow 10% to 125.8 million tonnes

Russian coal exports in January-October 2014 increased by 12,153,000 tonnes, or 10,7% from the same period a year ago to 125,872,000 tonnes, the Ministry of Energy statistics said.

In October, the commodity exports rose by 634,900 tonnes, which represents a 5.3% gain y-o-y, to 12,598,000 tonnes.  Coal production for the same period increased by 1,833,000 tonnes, or  6.1% from a year earlier, to 32,541,000 tonnes (29,559,000 tones supplied).
