Responsibility for functioning of Kerch ferry service handed over to Transport Ministry of Crimea

The responsibility for functioning of Kerch ferry service has been handed over from the United Transport Directorate to Crimean Ministry of Transport, RF Transport Ministry says.  The United Transport Directorate is still responsible for transportation of passengers with travel cards during holiday season of 2015.

Handing over of the property needed for functioning of the new operator will be completed in the nearest future.

As RF Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov has said today at the working meeting dedicated to the ferry service operation, one third of tourists travelling to Crimea used the Kerch ferry service. According to the Minister, Transport system of Crimea has been successfully integrated into the Transport system of Russia.
