Kleven Verft on 17 February, 2015 delivered Viking Neptun (build No365) to Eidesvik, the shipbuilder's press release said. The offshore subsea construction vessel designed by Salt Ship Design is the largest vessel built ever by Kleven shipyard.
Ship's length overall is 145 m, breadth - 31 m. Viking Neptun will be a very powerful tool for the owner. Equipped with a 400 t offshore cran and a 100 t offshore crane, the vessel can handle heavy underwater installations. The vessel also has a carousel with a capacity for 4400 tons of flexible pipes. A 2600 m2 cargo deck and accomodation for 150 people also indicates the size of the vessel. Viking Neptun holds ice class ICE 1B, allowing it to operate in arctic waters.
The naming ceremony will take place in Stavanger on February 28 2015, after which the vessel will start working for Technip.

Based in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Kleven ORN was established in 2011 offers services to shipowners with offshore vessels operating off Brazil. The company is a joint venture between Kleven Maritime Technology (Kleven 51%, Hareid Group 49%) and Offshore Reparos Navais (ORN).
