Krylov Centre and DSME set to cooperate in education, research and development projects
Krylov State Research Centre, Russia and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. The Memorandum was signed by the Krylov State Research Centre Director General Anatoliy Aleksashin and Kim Yong Soo, Director & Head of Ship & Ocean Engineering Institute, DSME. The two Parties intend to co-operate, enhance and develop the academic and cultural exchanges in education, research and other areas, the Krylov Centre said in a press release.
The Memorandum stipulates that the partners will develop and implement projects related to their Products and Services. The cooperation will cover corresponding fields of partners’ activities, including joint research and development projects, implementation of new-generation products and rendering of services. The MoU also envisages exchange of experience, including exchange of faculty members, researchers and students as well as implementation of joint cultural programs.
Krylov State Research Centre was established back in 1894 as Russia’s first model testing basin in St. Petersburg. It is a scientific research organization of the national shipbuilding sector focused on concepts and workshop designs of naval ships, merchant vessels and offshore structures and on their operation.
