RF shipbuilding recovery tasks set up by Vladimir Putin fulfilled by less than 50%, Dmitry Rogozin says

The tasks set up by RF President Vladimir Putin on the recovery of Russian shipbuilding have been fulfilled by less than 50%. This critical assessment of the work done by the involved ministries and agencies was given by Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister of RF Government, in his speech opening the meeting of the Marine Board under RF Government being held today, 25 March 2015, in Moscow.

Rogozin reminded about the tasks set up by RF President following the Far East meeting on November 13, 2014. According to him, only 4 of 10 tasks aimed at the recovery of civil shipbuilding have been fulfilled so far.

“We have not secured a consolidated shipbuilding order,” Rogozin said.

According to Dmitry Rogozin, there are no plans on the development of shipyards, no product line for oil search and offshore drilling based on current offshore projects, no proposals on financing of the industry development.

“We still deal with scattered practices not integrated by definite business plans correlated with the shipyard’s schedules,” the official noted.

Dmitry Rogozin reminded that the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade was to coordinate this work with Aleksei Ulyukayev, Minster of Economic, to take control of it.
