Throughput of port Taganrog up 19.5% to 736,000 t in QI'15

In January-March 2015, the port of Taganrog handled 736,000 t of cargo (+19.5%, year-on-year), the port’s Harbour Master told IAA PortNews.

Transshipment of oil products was nearly flat at 326,000 t (+1.5%), transshipment of grain increased by 36% to 140,000 t, coal – by 66% to 146,000 t, ferrous metal – by 49% to 85,000 t.

In the reported period, exports fell by 30.4% to 414,000 t, imports – by one third to 14,000 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo totaled 301,000 (no coastal trade cargo was handled in QI'14). 

In the first quarter of 2015, the office of Port Taganrog Harbour Master registered 188 incoming and 186 outgoing vessels (against 160 and 172 vessels accordingly in 2014).
