Today, on May 12, two cruise ships have called Passenger port of Saint Petersburg – Eurodam and AIDAmar, says Marine Façade PLC. Both vessels belong to the largest cruise company Carnival Corporation & plc.
Eurodam has left from the port of Copenhagen on May 8th and has already been to ports of Kiel and Tallinn on its way to St. Petersburg. After leaving the Northern Capital on May 13th it will also visit Helsinki, Stockholm, Warnemünde and then conclude the cruise back in Copenhagen on May 19th. Almost three thousand passengers and crew members have arrived to St. Petersburg aboard the ship. Eurodam visits St. Petersburg every year for the past six years and will make seven calls in 2015, as the year before.
The AIDAmar ship of AIDA Cruises, the German brand of Carnival Corporation & plc has started its Baltic Sea cruise at the port of Warnemünde on May 9th 2015. Already today, after a 12-hour stay, the ship that brought over 3000 passengers and crew to St. Petersburg will leave the port and head to Helsinki and Stockholm. AIDAmar is a frequent guest at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg since 2013. During the 2015 summer cruise season it will make 23 calls to the Port, not only beating its own record for the number of calls to St. Petersburg in one season, but also making the most calls among all the ships that are planning to come to the Port this year. In 2013-2014 AIDAmar has made 39 calls to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.
Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 311 m long and with a draft of up to 9 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall length – 2,171.06 m.
