In January-May 2015, the ports of China increased their throughput by 2%, year-on-year, to 4.67 bln t, says the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the People's Republic of China. In the accounting period seaports of China handled 3.25 (+1%), river ports – 1.41 bln t (+4.6%).
Container throughput climbed 6.3% to 84.82 mln TEUs including 76.14 mln TEUs in seaports (+5.9%) and 8.67 mln TEUs in river ports (+10.2%).
