NAT adds two Suezmax tankers to its fleet
Nordic American Tankers Limited ("NAT") has agreed to acquire two Far East built Suezmax tankers at an average age of five years. The total price is about USD 122 mill. The vessels are expected to be delivered to us in September and October 2015. NAT does not plan to issue equity to finance these two vessels, the tanker fleet operator said on Monday in a news release.
Adding two more ships will help the Company increase the dividend capacity and earnings potential and retain a solid competitive position in the market.
Nordic American Tankers Limited ("NAT") was incorporated in Bermuda in 1995. NAT today has an active trading fleet of 20 vessels, all employed in the spot market.
