In January-July 2015, seaport of Azov handled 4,604,000 t of different cargo (-26.5%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews.
In the reported period, transshipment of grain fell by 10.2% to 2,201,000 t, oil products – by 43.6% to 1,725,000 t. Coal transshipment increased by 22.6% to 320,000 t.
Exports fell by 42.7% to 1,734,000 t, imports – by 50% to 158,000 t, transit – by 44.6% to 1,618,000 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo totaled 1,094,000 t (no coastal trade cargo was handled in January-June 2014).
In January-June 2015, the port authorities registered 1,928 incoming and 1,942 outgoing vessels against 2,500 incoming and 2,516 outgoing vessels a year ago.
Viktor Zavozin attributes the decrease of oil products transit from inland water ways and lower grain exports.
