Throughput of Odessa Commercial Sea Port up 5.4% to 14.14 mln t in 7M’15
In January-July 2015, Odessa Commercial Sea Port handled 14,149,000 t of cargo (-5.4%, year-on-year), says the press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
Transshipment of dry cargo increased by 11.6% the bulk of which was formed by grain and ferrous metal (7,747,600 t).
In July, export grain shipments totaled 705,400 t which is twice as much as in July 2014 (302,600 t).
Odessa Commercial Sea Port operates in one of the largest ports of the Black-Azov Sea Basin. Technical facilities of the port allow handling of more than 14 million tonnes of dry cargoes and 24 million tonnes of liquid cargoes annually. The port’s passenger terminal accepts vessels of up to 300 meters in length. In 2014, throughput of Odessa Commercial Sea Port climbed by 6.1%, year-on-year, to 24.5 mln tonnes.
