Throughput of Rostov-on-Don port down 9.3% to 8.4 mln t in 7M’15

In January-July 2015, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 8,408,000 t of cargo (-9.3%, year-on-year), port Harbour Master Pavel Zakharchenko told IAA PortNews.

Transshipment of crude and oil products fell by 1.65% to 2,879,000 t, non-grain bulk cargo – by 17.1% to 1,783,000 t, grain bulk cargo – by 12.3% to 1,688,000 t, scrap metal – by 7.3% to 555,000 t, general cargo – by 33.8% to 333,000 t, liquid bulk food – by 6.5% to 256,000 t. Transshipment of coal and coke climbed by 19.5% to 673,000 t.

In the reported period, loading increased by 2.9% to 5.066 mln t; unloading – decreased by 10.3% to 697,000 t, transit – by 27% to 1.874 mln t. 

In the reported period, turnover of vessels fell by 8%, year-on-year. The number incoming/outgoing vessels fell to 2,997/3,053 against 3,263/3,318 in 7M’14.

Bunkering at the port of Rostov-on-Don dropped by 38.6% to 32,500 t.
