In January-August 2015, Taganrog transport hub handled 1,966,800 t of cargo (+5.4%, year-on-year), IAA PortNews learnt at the Harbour Master’s office of the port.
Transshipment of oil products fell by 18.4% to 557,000 t, ferrous metal – by 3% to 330,000 t, while coal transshipment increased by 29.8% to 395,600 t, grain – by 55.5% to 581,500 t.
In the reported period, exports fell by 1.8% to 1,402,100 t, imports – 3.5 times to 40,700 t, coastal trade cargo – totaled 516,500 (+75.6%, year-on-year).
In January-August 2015, the port authorities registered 627 incoming and 632 outgoing vessels against 623 incoming and 628 outgoing vessels a year ago.
