Throughput of Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port up 198.5% to 186,300 t in 8M’15

In January-August 2015, Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport OJSC) handled 186,300 t of cargo (+198.5%, year-on-year) including 352,800 t of dry bulk cargo, 84,341 TEUs of containerized cargo and 228,100 t of scrap metal, the stevedoring company said. 

In the reported period, the company handled 509 vessels and 15,807 wagons.

The company earlier announced its plan to handle 200,000 t of fish products in 2015.

At the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) held in Vladivostok in early September the Far East Development Fund and Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port agreed on cooperation in the implementation of the project for design, construction and equipping of refrigerator and warehousing facilities infrastructure on the port territory. The project implies the construction of a new specialized refrigerator and warehousing complex with total capacity of more than 20 thousand tons and transshipment capacity of up to 250 thousand tons/year..

Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port is the universal reloading complex on the southern coast of the  nonfreezing Zolotoi Rog Bay. The berthing line of 10 berths which is 2,020 m long, 9 km of railway lines and 3 locomotives enable the company to handle 71 wagons per day and up to 5 mln t of cargo per year including over 200,000 TEUs of containerized cargo.
