Brigade tactic exercise with the Pacific Fleet Marine units was held at the Klerk range, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
According to the scenario, a simulated illegal armed group captured the shore. The Pacific Fleet Marine units moved to the area aboard major landing ships. The units were reinforced by a tank company and a battery of Uragan MLRS.
After reconnaissance operation, mine-clearing groups of the Pacific Fleet Marines landed to the area using Mi-8 helicopters and ships. Su-25 attack aircraft made strikes against the “terrorists”.
The main forces were transported by major landing ships.
The “Black berets” in cooperation with the tank company eliminated the simulated enemy.
More than 1,000 servicemen and 80 pieces of combat and special hardware, 10 ships and supply vessels, transport, army and attack aviation were involved in the event.
