RF Government Decree has established the limits of port Sevastopol (Crimean peninsula) in the part of the water area where state regulation of port activities is performed. According to the Government’s statement the water area includes seven sectors in Sevastopol bay, canal and basin of Chernaya river Kamyshovaya bay, part of Balaklava bay, operational part of the water area near passenger berth for local lines and anchorage points.
The port with round-the-year navigation mainly handles grain, ferrous metal, scrap metal, oil products, sand and cargo carried by ferries.
The decision is aimed at making the legal status of the port comply with Russian legislation.
