Nigeria implements an Advanced Cargo Declaration for import and export shipments

The government of Nigeria is implementing an Advanced Cargo Declaration (ACD) for both Nigerian import and export shipments, CMA CGM said in its press release.
All import and export cargo are mandatorily subject to an Entry Summary (ENS) or Exit Summary (EXS) Number.
Advance Cargo Declaration is applicable as follows:
Import Cargo:
 Effective November 3rd, 2015 (loading date)
 Customers are to proceed with an ACD and obtain an Entry Summary Number (ENS) for their respective shipments
 ENS number must be provided to the Carrier prior loading at POL
Export Cargo:
 Effective November 3rd, 2015 (loading date)
 Customers are to proceed with an ACD and obtain an Exit Summary Number (ENS) for their respective shipments
 EXS number must be provided to the Carrier prior loading at Nigerian ports
