Lena basin’s cargo traffic down 12.9% to 1.32 mln t in navigation period of 2015

In the navigation period of 2015, Lena basin’s cargo traffic totaled 1 ,321,191 (-12.9%, year-on-year), Lena Basin Administration told IAA PortNews.

In the reported period, transportation of oil products totaled 461,759.69 (-16.2%, year-on-year), coal – 385,292 t, crude oil – 101,315 t, gas condensate – 13,698 t, methanol – 1,893 t, food – 3,690.55 t (up 2.5 times), agricultural products – 532,000 (down 2.2 t), capital goods – 227,232.4 t, construction materials – 125,748.7 t (down 2.1 times).

Lena Basin Administration covers the basins of rivers within Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Irkutsk and Magadan Regions, as well as Khabarovsk Territory.
