In January-October 2015, seaport Yuzhny (Ukraine) handled 39,459,400 t of cargo (+2.5%, year-on-year), says Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
In the reported period, exports totaled 30,610,100 t (+1.6%), imports – 4,138,400 t (+39.5%).
Transshipment of grain totaled 7,899 t (+15.2%), ore – 21,176,300 (+5,1%), carbamide – 1,136,700 t (+9.6%).
Yuzhny port is located at the north-western coast of the Black Sea, in ice-free Maly Adzhalyksky (Grigorievsky) estuary, 30 km from Odessa port. The port’s approach channel is 3 miles long and 18.5 meters deep. The port’s major stevedoring company is the state-owned Commercial Sea Port Yuzhny.
