Putin tells RF Government to develop plan for ordering Russian fishing ships from domestic shipyards

Following the State Council Presidium meeting on developing the fisheries industry held on October 19, 2015, Vladimir Putin entrusted RF Government with the development of a plan for placing shipbuilding orders for Russian fisheries industry’s needs with domestic shipyards.

The plan is to be approved by the Government by March 1, 2016.

Besides, by February 15, 2016, RF Government is to develop and approve an action plan on modernization and development of port and fishery infrastructure aimed, in particular, at more efficient use of state property at seaports’ fishing terminals, improvement of such property management, application of private-public partnership mechanisms for attraction of private investments through concession agreements.
