Cargo traffic at Russia’s inland water ways down 3.1% to 111.3 mln t in 10M’15

The volume of cargo carried by Russia’s inland water ways over the January-October 2015 totaled 111.3 mln t, - 3.17% against the previous  year result, says press center of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency).

Passenger traffic increased by 6.6% to 13.0 mln persons.

Here are the results per basin:

White Sea – Onega Basin:  cargo transportation – 288,700 t – 71.6% against 2014 (403,000 t);
passenger transportation – 44,100 passengers,  +55.8%, year-on-year (28,300 passengers).

Volga-Baltic Basin:  cargo transportation – 13.2 mln t – 88.6% against 2014 (14.9 mln t);
passenger transportation– 375,600 passengers, +6.8%, year-on-year (351,800 passengers).

Moscow Basin:  cargo transportation – 17.6 mln t, +14.3%, year-on-year (15.4 mln t);
passenger transportation– 2.7 mln t, +50%, year-on-year (1.8 mln passengers.).

Volga Basin:  cargo transportation – 38,4 mln t, +5.2%, year-on-year (36.5 mln t);
passenger transportation – 3.3 mln passengers – 97.1% against 2014 (3.4 mln passengers).

Volga-Don Basin:  cargo transportation – 126,500 t – 45.9% against 2014 (275,400 t);
passenger transportation – 6,900 passengers – 87,3% against 2014 (7,900 passengers).

Azov-Don Basin:  cargo transportation – 6.6 mln t – 91.7% against 2014 (72 mln t);
passenger transportation – 349,000 passengers – 76.6% against 2014 (455,500 passengers).

North Dvina Basin:  cargo transportation – 2.5 mln t, что 96.2% against 2014 (2.6 mln t);
passenger transportation– 1.3 mln passengers – 92.9% against 2014 (1.4 mln passengers).

Pechora Basin:  cargo transportation – 122,000 t – 49.1% against 2014 (248,300 t);
passenger transportation – 60,400 passengers – 65.5% against 2014 (92,200 passengers).

Kama Basin:  cargo transportation – 6.1 mln t – 71.8% against 2014 (8.5 mln t);
passenger transportation – 1.1 mln passengers, +10%, year-on-year (1.0 mln passengers).

Ob-Irtysh Basin:  cargo transportation – 6.2 mln t – 71.3% against 2014 (8,7 mln t);
passenger transportation – 1.0 mln passengers – 83.3% against 2014 (1,200 passengers).

Ob Basin:  cargo transportation – 3.7 mln t – 68.5% against 2014 (5.4 mln t);
passenger transportation – 423,500 passengers – 107.1% against 2014 (395,300 passengers).

Yenisei Basin:  cargo transportation – 5.3 mln t, +17.8%, year-on-year (4.5 mln t);
passenger transportation – 841,200 passengers, +57%, year-on-year  (535,700 passengers).

Baikal-Angara Basin:  cargo transportation – 1.8 mln t – 90% against 2014 (2.0 mln t);
passenger transportation – 133,600 passengers – 85.9% against 2014 (155,500 passengers).

Lena Basin:  cargo transportation – 4.1 mln t – 93.2% against 2014 (4.4 mln t);
passenger transportation – 539,200 passengers, +17.6%, year-on-year (458,400 passengers).

Amur Basin:  cargo transportation – 4.5 mln t, +55.2%, year-on-year (2.9 mln t);
passenger transportation – 644,500 passengers – 77% against 2014 (837,100 passengers).
