NCSP Group cargo turnover up 3.9% to 116 mln t in 10M'15

NCSP Group reports that its consolidated cargo turnover for 10M 2015 comprised 116 million tonnes, up 3.9% or 4.3 mln t year-on-year.

Transshipment of liquid cargo comprised 89 996 thousand tonnes; bulk cargo – 9 996 thousand tonnes; general cargo – 11 738 thousand tonnes; and containers – 4 283 thousand tonnes.

Volumes of liquid cargo increased 2.8% year-on-year; bulk and general cargo increased 2.5% and 19.5% year-on-year respectively. Container traffic reduced 6.2% year-on-year in tonnes.

For ten months of 2015 NCSP Group’s loaded 89 996 thousand tonnes of liquid cargo. Crude oil volumes totaled 62 881 thousand tonnes. Oil products volume amounted to 26 371 thousand tonnes and exceeded that of the same period last year by 2 892 thousand tonnes or 12.3%. Oil products’ growth rate accelerated by 3.5 percent points versus that of the nine months 2015. UAN and seed oils volumes in January-October 2015 comprised 578 thousand tonnes and 166 thousand tonnes respectively.

Bulk cargo volumes in January-October 2015 totaled 9 996 thousand tonnes, including 5 269 thousand tonnes of grain; 1 003 thousand tonnes of chemical cargo; 769 thousand tonnes of sugar; 1 736 thousand tonnes of iron ore, and 1 220 thousand tonnes of coal.

Transshipment of grain increased by 234 thousand tonnes or 43.7% in October versus September 2015 thanks to reduced export duty, but it is still negatively affected by high domestic prices, and deliveries to Egypt are complicated by instability in the country and delays in issue of credit letter for exporters.

Volumes of iron ore and coal increased 16.6% year-on-year and 31.1% year-on-year respectively, as growth rates accelerated by 5.9 percent for ore and 4.7 percent for coal, versus these of the nine months.

General cargo volumes for the ten months of 2015 increased by 1 918 thousand tonnes or 19.5 % year-on-year, and reached 11 738 thousand tonnes.

Transshipment of ferrous metals and pig iron increased by 2 008 thousand tonnes or 25.3% year-on-year and reached 9 939 thousand tonnes. Non-ferrous metals volumes increased by 134 thousand tonnes or 15.8% year-on-year and reached 981 thousand tonnes.

Volumes of timber, perishable, and other cargo for 10M 2015 totaled 536 thousand tonnes, 132 thousand tonnes, and 150 thousand tonnes respectively.

Container traffic for 10M 2015 reached 4 283 thousand tonnes and 391 thousand TEU.
