Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports up 1.9% to 131.7 mln t in 10M’15

In January-October 2015, seaports of Ukraine handled 131,760,000  t of cargo (+1.9%), says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 93,732,000 t (+0.3%, year-on-year), import – 16,500,000 t (+13.7%, year-on-year), transit – 14,830,000 t (-20.3%, year-on-year), coastal trade cargo – 6,699,000 t (+142.1%, year-on-year).

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 435,800 TEUs (down 29%, year-on-year).

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 45,013,000 (34% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled 86,747,000 t (66% of total volume) including 46,385,000 t  handled via USPA berths (35% of total volume).
