Wan Hai Lines to launch China – India Service II (CI2) jointly with IAL, PIL and MOL

Wan Hai Lines has announced the launch of China - India Service II “CI2 service” in the end of February, 2016. This new service will help to expand Wan Hai Lines network by providing direct service from North China to West India. It will also help to complement Wan Hai Lines existing 4 other West India services with better port coverage and frequency.

This service will be jointly operated with Interasia Lines, Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd. and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., by using 6 vessels with nominal capacity of 4,250 TEU. Wan Hai Lines will deploy 3 vessels, while IAL, PIL and MOL will operate 1 vessel each.

CI2’s maiden voyage WAN HAI 507 will commence from Qingdao port on 27th February, 2016 and arrive in Nhava Sheva on 16th March, 2016. It will be a 42-day fixed round trip schedule.

The port rotation will be : Qingdao - Shanghai – Ningbo - Shekou – Singapore - Port Kelang (North port) - Nhava Sheva (JNPCT) – Mundra – Colombo – Penang - Port Kelang(North port) - Hong Kong - Qingdao.
