Rosterminalugol Terminal coal throughput rose 13% in 2015 to 17,46 million tonnes

Between January and December 2015 export coal shipments through the terminal of Rosterminalugol OJSC increased by 13% year-on-year (2014 – 15,4 million tonnes) to 17,468,525.993 tonnes. The Company said its 2015 year plan has been fulfilled by 113%.

During the reporting period the terminal handled 282 coal-laden dry bulk carriers with maximum performance 56,638 tons per 12-hour shift.

Rosterminalugol terminal's berth were quite busy with workload ratio at Berth No 1 and 2 reaching 0.6, 0.8, respectively.
In 2015, the terminal discharged 244,146 rail cars, which is up 9% year-on-year. Record number of handled units of rolling stock (12-hour shift) was 484 and 897 units per day.

JSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Port of Ust-Luga. The Company specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal located in the Ust-Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters with depth of 14 meters. The terminal is able now to accommodate vessels of up to 240 meters in length and 32 meters in breadth. In 2014, coal exports via the terminal rose 5%, year-on-year, to 15,45 million tonnes.
