In January 2016, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 164,700 t of cargo (-39.8%, year-on-year), the port’s Harbour Master Service told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of oil products fell by 39.1% to 68,600 t, coal – by 24.5% to 46,000 t, grain – by 35.7% to 42,500 t, ferrous metal – 3 times to 6,300 t.
In the reported period, exports fell by 44.3% to 95,800 t, short sea traffic – by 23.8% t to 68,600 t. Transshipment of import cargo was almost zero (just 300 t) while in January 2015 it totaled 7,600 t.
In January 2016, the port authorities registered 43 incoming and 38 outgoing vessels against 60 incoming and 54 outgoing vessels in January 2015.
