Having finished research work in the sea zones of Antarctica, the oceanographic research ship Admiral Vladimirsky of the Russian Navy left the Antarctic heading north to Cape Town, where she is to arrive on March 3, 2016, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The crew has performed the tasks of the main part of the expedition. The participants, specialists in military hydrography have conducted complex research work in three sea areas. The results are being analyzed. After the arrival to Kronstadt, they will be reported to the Main Command of the Russian Navy.
At the present time the Admiral Vladimirsky is on the way to Cape Town. The ship’s hardware is functioning normally, the crew is in good health and continues research work.
Results are daily reported to the interim Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Vladimir Korolyov.
