Snezhnogorsk small-sized ASW ship of the Northern Fleet entered the Barents Sea combat training ranges to perform the second course task, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The crew is to provide air defence of the ship engaging imitated aerial targets with 76mm AK-176 artillery complex.
The ship crew will also carry out a naval combat against a simulated surface ship and perform firing on a naval target.
Having finished the exercise, Snezhnogorsk small-sized ASW ship is to return to Polarny, the Kola Flotilla main base.
Ships of such class are designed to engage submarines in the nearest maritime zones. They are armed with artillery and air defence complexes as well as bomb systems and torpedoes.
