Ferryboat Peterburg has left Sassnits (Germany) for Saint-Petersburg
Ferryboat Peterburg operating at Baltijsk (Kaliningrad Region) - Sassnits (Germany) line left Sassnits for Saint-Petersburg on March 2, 2016 at 18:00 (local time), line operator Trans-Exim Ltd. told IAA PortNews.
According to the Company representative, there is no cargo onboard the ship. Earlier the Company said the line operation was suspended for technical reasons. No information on the intention to replace the ferryboat is available.
Baltijsk - Sassnits ferry line was launched on February 21. It was set up by the Association of Automobile Carriers.
The first round voyage was over on February 25 – some 70 truck-trains were delivered to Baltijsk.
On February 19, Russia and Poland have come to an agreement to provide their road freight carriers with 20,000 permits for each country until April 15.
Yet, Russia’s Deputy Transport Minister Nikolai Asaul said the ferry line would continue operation.
