In January-February 2016, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 1,327,000 of cargo (+12.7%, year-on-year), Harbour Master Pavel Zakharchenko told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of crude and oil products climbed by 0.9% to 356,000 t, grain – by 50.1% to 436,000 t, non-grain bulk cargo - by 3.7% to 182,000 t, liquid bulk food – by 4.4% to 99,000 t, general cargo – by 20.4% to 57,000 t. The decrease was registered in transshipment of coal and coke – by 2.8% to 87,000 and metal scrap – by 14.3% to 93,000 t.
In the reported period, loading increased by 14.2% to 1,271,000 t; unloading – fell by 13.1% to 56,000 t; no operations with transit cargo was held in Jan-Feb'16, neither in Jan-Feb'15.
In the reported period, the number of incoming/outgoing vessels increased to 344/345 against 292/286 a year ago.
Bunkering at the port of Rostov-on-Don dropped by 35.4% to 13,100 t.
