Assault units of the Caspian Flotilla separate Marine battalion finished exercise on providing protection of the coast at the Adanak range (Dagestan), says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
In the course of the first stage of the exercise, the Marines practiced detecting and liquidating supply depots and control posts of the simulated enemy.
Having conducted marching onboard the standard hardware, the servicemen arrived at the assigned area. This was the three day long exercise.
Moreover, the servicemen performed a complex of tasks on NBC protection, passing mine obstacles and landing to mountainous regions.
During the final stage of the exercise, the Marines conducted combat with assault units of the simulated enemy, in the course of which they performed firing with different types of armament.
About 100 servicemen and more than 20 pieces of military hardware were involved in the exercise.
