Capacity of NCSP Group’s terminals in Novorossiysk will make 29.4 mln t by 2020 when their reconstruction is completed, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Aleksandr Khalezin, Project and Development Director at Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port PJSC, as saying at XII International Transport Forum “Yug-Trans-2016” held on March 17 in Gelendzhik.
According to him, capacity of grain transshipment will reach 6.2 mln t, dry bulk cargo - 15 mln t, general cargo – 3 mln t, containerized cargo – 4.2 mln t, liquid bulk cargo - 1 mln t.
NCSP is planning a large scale reconstruction of berth facilities in Novorossiysk. Aleksandr Khalezin emphasized that capacity growth would be possible after implementation of projects on expansion of automobile and railway approaches’ capacity.
NCSP Group is the largest port operator in Russia and the third-largest in Europe, in terms of cargo turnover. NCSP Group cargo turnover in 2015 totalled 139.7 million tones (+5.6%).
