Hapag-Lloyd to increase rates for Transpacific Trade - Eastbound East Asia to US and Canada

Hapag-Lloyd will implement the following General Rate Increase (GRI) for all dry, reefer, flat rack and open top containers from East Asia to US and Canada, the company said in its press release.

Effective Date: April 1, 2016 (date of cargo receipt at origin)

Scope: East Asia to North America (US and Canada)
 USD 540 per 20' standard container
 USD 600 per 40' standard container (40' x 8'6")
 USD 675 per 40' high cube container (40' x 9'6")
 USD 760 per 40' reefer container (40' x 9'6")

East Asia is defined as being the countries of Japan, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (PRC), Macau, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, The Philippines and Russian Pacific Coast Provinces.
