Damage to Kerch Bridge caused by Turkish dry cargo ship preliminary estimated at RUB 120 mln

The damage to the Kerch Bridge caused by the incident with Turkish cargo ship has been preliminary estimated at RUB 120 mln. The Arbitration Court of the Rostov Region says the ship owner has been claimed for damages.

The request to arrest the ship came to the Arbitration Court of the Rostov Region from SGM-Most LLC, designer and builder of the bridge across the Kerch Strait.

According to SGM-Most LLC, on March 19, 2016 at about 23:32, Turkish cargo ship Lira sailing under  the flag of Panama along the Kerch-Yenikalsky canal from the Black Sea to the port of Taganrog crashed into the  bearing support structure of the bridge under construction which caused the bridge damage. 

The ship owner has been claimed for damages.
