The interests of Rostov and the Rostov region citizens will be taken into consideration when building the Bagayevsky low-pressure hydrosystem, IAA PortNews correspodent cites Victor Vovk, deputy head of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot) as saying at the extended joint meeting of the Public Councils of Azov-Don and Volga-Don Basins held in Rostov-on-Don today, March 25, 2016.
He also promised that all compensatory measures planned under the project will be implemented.
“The decision made by RF Government on construction of the Bagayevsky low-pressure hydrosystem is the only solution to low water problem. … It is the main measure to ensure normal functioning of the Tsimlyansky Reservoir amid low water level", said Victor Vovk.
