Yenisei River Shipping Company plans carrying 3.7 mln t of cargo over navigation period of 2016
Yenisei River Shipping Company is currently holding a spring contractual campaign to estimate the scope of work in the navigation period of 2016. Rashid Khakimulin, head of the Company’s Cargo and Commercial Department, says it will make some 3.7 mln t of cargo this year.
The bulk of cargo will be conventionally transported for Norilsk Nickel – more than 2 mln t of cargo. The Company is going to carry over 1.6 mln t of sand, 170,000 t of sulphur amd 300,000 t of general cargo.
Rosneft is among the Company’s large customers – 200,000 t of cargo. Other customers: Taimyr Fuel Company – 150,000 t, Norilskgazprom OJSC – 90,000 t, Marnezit Group LLC – 70,000 t.
The Company is also involved in supplying of Russia’s northern territories.
Yenisei River Shipping Company was established as a state enterprise in 1931, incorporated in 1994 году. YRSC is the main carrier of cargo along the water routes of the Yenisei Basin. The company’s fleet numbers some 650 vessels with total capacity of about 680,000 t. The company has shipbuilding and ship repair assets and a number of other business units. Major customer and the controlling shareholder of the company is Norilsk Nickel OJSC. In 2015 the company carried 3,940,000 t of cargo.
