Throughput of port Odessa (Ukraine) down 5.7% to 6.15 mln t in Jan-March'16
In January-March 2016, Odessa Commercial Sea Port handled 6.15 mln t of cargo (-5.7%, year-on-year), says Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo fell by 64.9% to 504,000 t including 85,000 t of crude oil (no crude transshipment a year ago), 152,000 t of oil products (-86.7%), 47,000 of vegetable oil (up 2.5 times) and 211,000 t of chemical cargo (-21.7).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo totaled 2.322 mln t (+6%, year-on-year) including 2.117 mln t of grain (+18.6%).
Transshipment of packaged cargo totaled 3.328 mln t (+14.7%, year-on-year), rolled metal – 1.328 mln t (-10.5%), cast iron – 137,000 t (against 5,000 t a year ago).
Container throughput totaled 112,931 TEUs (+15%) or 1.598 mln t (+18.5%) that is 75,000 units (+18.8%).
