says Port Noblessner and the Yacht School (Estonia) are about to start a new season. Eight tons slip’s bottom sinker have been recently placed into the water at the harbor.
Noblessner Yacht School awaits adults and children for the sailing trainings from the 1stof May. Manager of the Yacht School Jaak Lukk says, “Traditionally we open a season with a Noblessner Cup and competition of Kalamaja Optimist for the younger yachtsmen. This summer we surely have a plan to arrange an impressive sea trip for advanced sportsmen and a sailing camp for the young people. We consider to participate in the Estonian and international youth championships”.
With support of BLRT Grupp, developing of port Noblessner, the Yacht School acquired nine Optimist class boats for the initial sailing trainings. During the summer season in the school studying 60 yachtsmen and their coaches are Jane Aluve and Jaak Lukk.
In connection with dismantling works in Noblessner, initiated to provide a space for construction of the residential houses, the Yacht School moved to the seaside part of the yacht club. Lukk added that due to moving there were a lot of works we surely could not manage with a lesser aid during such a short time. Cleaning volunteers repaired a slip for the launching of the sport sailboats, fixed the boat bridge, built a slip-way necessary for the trainings and established a boat park at the courtyard.
By combined efforts the territory was cleaned up, the study class arranged, the terrace necessary for the school activities as well as the fences around the territory were constructed.
Opening this year's sixth season Noblessner yacht port can accommodate 100 yachts up to 24 meters’ length.
