The Curacao flagged M/V AUDAX (ARC7 class) on April 30, 2016 delivered to the Russian Arctic Port of Sabetta modules for the construction of an LNG plant of JSC Yamal LNG, the Atomflot press office said.

On April 28 the Atomflot's nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy began clearing path for the M/V AUDAX. This was the first heavy lift ship transporting project cargoes that has succesfully passed the channel of Gulf of Ob with the assistance of icebreaker.

"The icebreaker escort proved the possibility to transit the channel by large tonnage ships," said Deputy CEO, Atomflot Fleet Operations Andrey Smirnov.

"There will be about 10 sailings of specialized vessels but without ice class to the Port of Sabetta during the summer and autumn navigation season."

Between October at November Sabetta port expects the call of the second AUDAX class vessel.
