Maiden call of Holland America Line's cruise ship Zuiderdam at Passenger Port of St. Petersburg
On May 9 the cruise ship Zuiderdam of Holland America Line brand docked at the terminal of Marine Façade on her first visit to the St. Petersburg Passenger Port, the Marine Façade said in a press release.
The Netherlands flagged Zuiderdam set sail from the Danish Port of Copenhagen on May 5, 2016 and have called to Tallinn and Warnemünde. After St. Petersburg, the cruise liner will also visit Helsinki, Stockholm, Kiel, Gothenburg, Helsingborg and end the cruise itinerary at the port of departure on 17 May.
Overall, in the 2016 cruise season the Zuiderdam will make six calls to the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg.
The Vista class Zuiderdam was built in 2002. Key particulars: LOA: 290 meters, number of decks: 10; Cabins: 960; Capacity: 2034 guests; Crew: more than 800. The cruise operator Holland America Line was founded in 1873. Its current fleet consists of fifteen cruise ships.
JSC Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" is in the ownership of the City of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006 and completed in 2011. Now the terminal can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 311 meters in length with up to 9 meters in draft. The length and depth of new access channels are 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall length is 2,171.06 m.
