The export volumes of grain and its products between January 1 and May 6 2016 reached 11,220,024 tonnes, including 6,409,096 tonnes of wheat (57%), the Rosselkhoznadzor regional administrations report shows, the agency press office said.
The agri products were exported largely through the ports of the Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region.
In 2015, between January 1 and May 30 May, the country exported 10,816,088 tonnes of grain / products, including 4,524,030 tonnes of wheat (42%).
In the 2015 - 2016 agricultural year (July 1 2015 – May 6 2016) Russia exported through its marine terminals 34.14 million tonnes of grain, including 22.47 million tonnes of wheat (66%). From 1 July to 31 May of the 2014 - 2015 agricultural year - 34.57 million tonnes, including wheat - 21.05 million tonnes (62%).
